NBA Power Rankings Nov. 28

10. Philadelphia 76ers (11-9)  Last Week: NR

Welcome the city of brotherly love to the list. After a rocky start they have been stringing together wins with and without Harden, Embiid, and Maxey to get over .500. Granted some of these wins haven't been against great teams (sorry Orlando) but you get rewarded on this list for winning games.

9. Golden State Warriors (11-10) Last Week: NR

They're baaaaaaaack. The champs looked like complete shit for 10 games and they still look like shit at times but when they are rolling I don't know if anyone in the west can do anything about it. They have been lights out at home all season long and this week they finally won a couple road games to get over .500. Steph Curry is still Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins has only gotten better, and Klay Thompson FINALLY showed us that he's still got it after shooting 50% or better the last 5 games. The biggest concern for this team is the bench and Jordon Poole seeming to have regressed a bit. They will have to tweak something in that regard. You can't ever overlook these guys because that's what everyone did when KD left and they just casually won another title.

8. New Orleans Pelicans (11-8) Last Week: 10

Pelicans had an ok week beating the shorthanded Warriors and bootycheeks Spurs, but got blitzed by the Grizz. No other team really popped this week so the Pelicans move up 2 spots. Pelicans are fun, young, and good. Nothing new to report here.

7. Los Angeles Clippers (12-9) Last Week: 7

What is this team's potential??? It is year 4 of Kawhi and PG and yet we still don't really know. It's ridiculous. It doesn't matter who is healthy they will always be winning most of their games, but can they actually contend for a title? I think so, but we just have to see this full squad on the court before I can move them up.

6. Memphis Grizzlies (12-8) Last Week: 8

Ja is back and they won 2 out of their 3 games this week. Unfortunately for them Desmond Bane got hurt right as Ja got hurt which really sucks to see because he was having a great year. Dillon Brooks is the dirtiest player in the league. Fuck him.

5. Denver Nuggets (12-7) Last Week: 6

The Nuggets this week made no sense. First they lose at home to the sad Pistons, without Cade Cunningham. Then they win a thriller in OKC. Finally on Friday they capped off their week on Friday with a dominant win over the Clippers in LA. The Nuggets are that team where when they are down early to a shitty team they just check out. They have always been to me that team that "chases" regular season wins but maybe now they are realizing that it doesn't mean you're going to win a championship. The NBA is the only sport where a team literally just might not try or care about an early season game. If your team has high expectations and loses regular season games early, you can just pull the "they didn't try" card and you won't necessarily be wrong.

4. Cleveland Cavaliers (13-7) Last Week: 5

I fucking love this team. Nothing not to like at all. They had a couple wins this week but coupled with a tough lose to the Bucks. This is the team in the east I want to see make some noise this year and so far so good. I know there are teams that start of at the top over the first few weeks then fall off (2021 Cavs), but I really don't think the Cavs will be like that this time around. They are sooooo much better and have a little experience under their belt.

3. Milwaukee Bucks (14-5) Last Week: 2

It was really hard to drop the Bucks because they had a good week going 3-1, only losing to the Bulls at home. My only reason for it is there were two other teams that were just better. I like the Bucks and Giannis is one of my favorite players so I will root for them over almost everybody. Giannis hate needs to stop. He can't shoot and is still better than your favorite player so shut the fuck up.

2. Phoenix Suns (13-6) Last Week: 3

So ya the Suns have won 4 straight and they are here now. I truly hope they go 64-18 again. It will just set up another huge failure. Okay now let me take off the hater goggles. The Suns are doing this without Chris Paul. They have turned into a regular season win machine and you gotta give them credit for it.

1. Boston Celtics (16-4) Last Week: 1

The Celtics are a wagon right now. They are going for that number 1 seed and they are gonna get it. They had a tough loss in Chi town where Al Horford shot 0-9 from the field, but then they followed that up with 3 easy wins so they will not drop for that. I might start doing these rankings every 2-3 weeks from now on because there are many week to week changes in the NBA.
